Identity

Brand Identity

Positioning, color, type, and voice. The decisions that make everything you put out look like it came from the same business.

What this is

Every website we build already includes enough identity work to make the site cohesive: type, color, and a visual direction that hold together. For most businesses that is the right amount. The site looks like one thing, made on purpose, and nothing about it fights itself.

Brand Identity as its own engagement is for the businesses where that is not enough, where the identity has to work off the website too. On a sign, on a truck, on a menu, in a proposal, on a shirt, in someone's inbox. That is a different piece of work with a different scope, and it is quoted separately.

What this is not

  • It is not a logo handed over on its own and left with you to figure out.
  • It is not a fixed package with tiers.
  • It is not something we will tell you that you need. If the identity work inside your website project is enough, I'll say so.

When it makes sense

  • You have a logo, but nothing else agrees with it.
  • Every new piece gets designed from scratch, and it shows.
  • Someone else makes things for you and has to guess.
  • The business has changed and the identity did not change with it.
  • You are about to spend money on signage, packaging, or print, and you would rather do it once.

None of this is a fixed package. What the work involves depends on what you already have and what it has to cover, so it is scoped and quoted for your business.

Scoped by conversation

We publish the price of what is standardized and clearly defined, and we custom quote what genuinely varies. Identity work genuinely varies. Two businesses can ask for the same thing and need very different amounts of it, so there is no number on this page to anchor you to the wrong one.

Ask, and you'll get a straight answer about what the work would involve and what it would cost before you commit to anything.

You can see how identity and photography come together in the gallery.
