Brand Photography

Photographs of your actual business. Your space, your work, your people. Made for the website they will live on, and honest about what walking in feels like.

Included with every website

Every Candor + Halo website includes the photography required to create that website. Not stock imagery with your logo nearby. We photograph your real business, planned around the pages the images will live on, and it starts with a conversation about how you want your customers to feel. That photography is part of the website project itself; it is not billed separately and there is nothing extra to decide.

Deeper coverage or a larger reusable brand-photography library is scoped separately. What is never true: unlimited photography, or photography sold on its own without a website. The photography comes with a website here rather than instead of one.

Expanded 50-image brand photography library

When the business wants more photography than the site itself calls for, an expanded 50-image brand library can be added to your website project: a reusable set for menus, social, print, and whatever comes next, planned and shot alongside the website work.

$2,950 + applicable tax · Separately scoped as an add-on to a website project

Why real photography matters

Research on human imagery in website design found that showing relevant people and context can influence how present and trustworthy a business feels online (Cyr, Head, Larios & Pan, 2009, MIS Quarterly). That research does not claim custom photography always outperforms stock, and neither do we. The claim we do make is smaller and checkable: a stranger comparing two businesses can tell which website shows the actual place they would walk into. That is the gap real photography closes.

The website sets expectations before anyone arrives

Satisfaction research going back decades shows that how people judge an experience depends partly on the expectations they arrived with (Oliver, 1980, Journal of Marketing Research: foundational theory, not a website-specific study). For a business people visit in person, the website is where those expectations get formed. Imagery that misrepresents the property, the scale, the people, or the experience sets customers up to arrive expecting something different. Photography that shows the place as it actually is works in the other direction. It helps customers arrive with a clearer idea of what they are choosing.

If being photographed is the part you dread

I hear some version of this in most first conversations, so let me say it plainly: you do not have to love cameras to do this. Say so in the first conversation and we'll plan the session around your hands, your work, and your space instead of your face. The photographs are of your business... you decide how much of you is in them.

Where the photographs happen

Sessions are included within the approved Chattanooga-area service zone, with the exact location confirmed during quoting. Select regional photography travel is available for an additional custom travel fee. Farther-away clients can work with a local photographer directed by Candor + Halo, so the images are still planned around the pages they'll live on.

The gallery shows this work with the businesses' permission.
